La Nuit de l’instant 2026 offers a new format. The program is expanding across the region. A strong commitment to supporting contemporary creation and exploring expanded forms of photography. The 2026 edition will take place on September 25, 26 and 27, 2026, inviting the public to explore around ten different venues in Marseille’s 2nd arrondissement, for a festive walk under the banner of the Bicentenary of Photography, creating a dialogue between the work and its surroundings: from noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. La Nuit de l’Instant is built around a network of partner venues that play a full part in creating the route: schools, social centers, artists’ studios, galleries, restaurants and bars welcome the works and help anchor the event in the life of the neighborhood. This diversity of venues makes it possible to offer a walk as close as possible to everyday spaces, fostering a direct encounter between the works, the artists and the public. Other venues will soon be added to this selection and enrich the route. This walk will be organized around three main venues: Urban Gallery, PAC Le Lieu and the CPM. It also marks the return of the La Nuit de l’Instant Prize, which will honor several artists as part of the Marseille event. This event is part of La Traversée Photographique, a national photography trail developed by the Diagonal network. This project has been awarded the Bicentenary of Photography label by the Ministry of Culture and is part of the official program running from September 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027. La Nuit de l’Instant is organized with the support of DRAC PACA, the Diagonal network and the Delegation of Québec in Paris. In partnership with Centre VU in Québec City, , PAC, Urban Gallerie, Festival Allez Savoir, Frac Sud, and CNAP; as well as La Chambre and Stimultania (Strasbourg), Le Lieu (Lorient) and Maz (French Guiana)
