La promenade de la Martine

Since last winter, we have been walking with a small group of residents we met through the La Martine community center. Together, we have taken the time to look at the surrounding neighborhoods differently. As we met people, we gathered memories, knocked on doors, searched through municipal archives and explored the surrounding area. We also learned with the Safi Collective to identify the plants growing along paths, in gardens and in wastelands. Little by little, the stories of La Martine, Palanque, la Solidarité, Kallisté, Val Plan and Les Borels came together like the pages of a great collective grimoire, filled with drawings, photographs, herbariums and stories. A wonderful way to tell the story of a territory shaped by Hôpital Nord, the Marseille canal and the highway, but above all by the people who live there. _With motivated residents of the La Martine Community Center, Hôtel du Nord and the artists of the SAFI Collective, in partnership with Accueil et rencontres and Terre Nouvelle._
