The initiative, which places walkers and soft mobility at the forefront, brings together thousands of people from Marseille several times a year to enjoy a peaceful, pedestrianized coastline, from rue Capitaine Dessemond to Talabot Park.

A day packed with activities:

“La Voie est Libre” offers a wide range of free services, from food to cultural, musical and sporting activities. Visitors can take part in a variety of activities, such as dance classes and board game workshops, in a friendly atmosphere accessible to everyone. Strolling performers are also present along the entire route to delight you.

By freeing up this busy coastal route, the City of Marseille is strengthening its efforts to promote a more peaceful living environment returned to the people of Marseille.
