Can you hear that noise in the distance? That noise is Le Bruit Qui Court! Join us on its wild run! We’ll set off at 20h30 from the Théâtre du Strapontin, then travel to the most extraordinary worlds, where anything can happen! We’ve been exploring the world of improvisation for many years. The audience points us in a direction through its themes, then the winds of the moment carry us away! Experience with us those moments when the unexpected, the surprise and the unpredictable—in short, life—take over!

La Compagnie Formidable runs the STRAPONTIN theatre in Marseille.
La Compagnie Formidable is a laboratory for new forms of stage writing, drawing its raw material from observing life as it unfolds. We develop dramaturgy based on our investigations, immersive work and inquiries into the substance of the world, as well as collaborations with writers whose work we find joyful and relevant. With a sensitivity to documentary arts, our research team visits cafés, schoolyards and villages, then puts the poems it gathers on paper and on stage.
La Compagnie Formidable embraces the legacy of the great popular movements of the 20th century. We don’t want coded theatre that isolates the audience and leaves them with the unpleasant feeling that they lack the keys to understanding it.
La Compagnie Formidable is a collaboration of resolutely optimistic artists who refuse to give in to the prevailing gloom. We embrace a fully humanist outlook and, in that sense, La Compagnie Formidable is a necessity.
