About this event

Back from Plan-de-Campagne (see programme), David Poullard and Anne-Charlotte Vilmus will use images to revisit the morning walk. Joined by Angeline Capon, Marion Serre and Olivier Bedu, they will introduce a cross-disciplinary discussion addressing signs and street furniture in the city.

The speakers

David Poullard
Drawing on varied training (applied arts, the semiology of text and images, and typeface design), David Poullard has worked in graphic and typographic design for public institutions (Ratp, Cnap) and publishing houses. He now develops an artistic practice using different media (photography, drawing, printed surfaces, objects, volumes, installations, etc.). The subjects he explores mainly come from the ordinary and the mundane—territory from which he enjoys twisting uses and disrupting expectations.

Anne-Charlotte Vilmus
An architect and urban planner, Anne-Charlotte Vilmus graduated from La Cambre in Brussels. Based in Marseille, she develops a practice at the intersection of architecture, public space, landscape and civic participation. At Studio Waouh!, she is particularly interested in ways of designing the city with its inhabitants, giving special consideration to children’s voices and perspectives. She also develops radio and film practices around urban issues.

Angeline Capon
An architect, doctoral student and lecturer at ENSA Marseille, Angéline Capon develops a research-creation practice at the intersection of architecture and publishing. In dialogue with visual studies, her research examines the narrative strategies used to tell the story of territories.

Marion Serre
Marion Serre is a designer and lecturer at the Beaux-Arts de Marseille in spatial design—territories—publics. Graduating from the Marseille School of Architecture in 2013 and holding a PhD in architecture, urban planning and spatial development in 2017, Marion Serre co-founded Tiers LAB, an architecture, urban project and research firm, in 2019.

Olivier Bedu
Trained as an architect, Olivier Bedu has been developing since 2003 a reflection on the ways urban space is created. His creative process gives a prominent place to analysing places and their uses. For several years, Olivier Bedu has been introducing other professionals to and training them in this approach to creating public spaces.

Partners
A proposal by La Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine, Fotokino, Le Bureau des Guides du GR2013 and the Maison de l’architecture et de la ville, as part of the Tangible festival.

Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine
Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine’s mission is to raise awareness of, disseminate and pass on architecture and urban planning in their contemporary and heritage dimensions. At once a museum, an observatory of architectural creation, an archive centre, a library and a training venue, the Cité bases its project on bringing together the different dimensions of architecture, both past and present, and on the dialogues it maintains with the worlds of creation and knowledge.
Its programme, intended for the general public as well as professionals, also extends beyond its walls. The Cité thus seeks to build connections with territories and the people who bring them to life, support local initiatives and accompany projects that help make architecture and heritage known and shared throughout France.

Le Bureau des guides du GR2013
Le Bureau des guides du GR2013 is an association bringing together artist-hikers around the GR2013 trail. Created following Marseille’s year as European Capital of Culture, the association explores and develops the possibilities offered by the GR2013, an atypical long-distance hiking trail crossing 38 municipalities in the Aix-Marseille Provence metropolitan area and combining natural, urban and peri-urban landscapes over more than 365 km.

Fotokino
Founded in Marseille in 2000, Fotokino’s programme lies at the intersection of graphic arts, design and publishing, with a resolutely multidisciplinary and undisciplined approach. Since 2011, Studio Fotokino, in central Marseille, has hosted exhibitions, workshops and talks, and has developed outreach work for audiences of all ages. Fotokino also runs off-site projects and a publishing programme, and launched the Tangible festival in 2025.

Maison de l’architecture et de la ville / ordre des architectes PACA
Founded in 2003, the Maison de l’architecture et de la ville Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur is an association dedicated to disseminating architectural and urban culture throughout the region. Based in Marseille, it organises exhibitions, lectures, debates, workshops and outreach activities for professionals, the general public and school groups. It is interested in transformations in contemporary architecture, cities and territories, and also develops a publishing programme.

Tangible
The second edition of the Tangible Festival takes place from 9 to 25 October 2026 in Marseille and throughout the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan area.
Led by several partner organisations/designers and coordinated by the Fotokino association, Tangible is conceived as a shared programme that promotes the visibility, recognition and dissemination of design practices across the region. Dedicated to all forms of design expression, the festival draws on the vitality of the local context while exploring connections with neighbouring practices: research, crafts, art and métiers d’art.
