About this event
On Sunday, October 18, 2026, Marseille fête la mer takes place along the Corniche and the entire Marseille coastline, with 8 stops and more than 40 free activities!
The goal? To give everyone in Marseille the chance to discover their coastline, the richness of their maritime heritage, its history and the many activities connected with the sea, while raising awareness of the need to protect it.

ACTIVITIES PROGRAM STOP 2 - L'ESTAQUE
► Discover traditional boats and lateen sailing
Organizing organization: Batèu d'Eici and Lei Pescadou de l'Estaco
Theme: Culture and heritage Description: Workshops introducing traditional Mediterranean boats and lateen sailing. Times: From 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm (one-hour sessions) Audience: Everyone, ages 10 and up (children must be accompanied by an adult) Accessible and inclusive: Yes Please note: 20 people per session Registration: On site on the day
► L'Estaque at sea: pollution cleanup, heritage and a community celebration
Organizing organization: Mer Veille
Theme: Biodiversity and the environment Description: A coastline cleanup organized as a neighborhood celebration. Times: 10am-12pm, launch, cleanup, sorting and classification of waste; 12pm-1:30pm, shared picnic; 1:30pm-5pm, awareness-raising and discussion, including a talk by a waste archaeologist at 3:30pm. Audience: Everyone (the sea activity is for adults, ages 18 and up) Accessible and inclusive: Yes (with a supervisor; people with physical disabilities can take part, with easy access along quai de la Lave and more difficult access in the vacant lot) Please note: Be comfortable in the water and bring fins, a mask and snorkel - children must be accompanied by an adult. Theme: Boating and underwater activities Description: A trip aboard a sailing boat for beginners, open to everyone, including people with disabilities. Times: From 9:30am to 12pm and from 1:30pm to 4pm Audience: Everyone, ages 5 and up Accessible and inclusive: Yes (the activity is suitable for people with physical or intellectual disabilities) Please note: Meet 10 minutes before departure at the port of L'Estaque Lei Pescadou (under the chichi stalls). 19 places per trip.
