Tangible 2026 - Métiers d’art : public jeunes, grandes ambitions
About this event
Craft professions play an essential role at the intersection of creativity, heritage, design and the transmission of know-how. Yet, despite their richness and the interest they generate, they remain insufficiently visible in cultural programming.
This round table explores the role of cultural institutions in promoting them and in a broader approach to cultural democratization. It brings together perspectives from heritage, cultural outreach, education and the discovery of know-how, in order to highlight concrete initiatives and reflections aimed at strengthening their visibility and encouraging the transmission of these practices to younger generations.
It also connects with the exhibition presented during the same period, featuring a felt installation created by students from the École des Beaux-Arts de Marseille in collaboration with artist and designer Théophile Peris. Visible from October 21 to 25, this project illustrates the dialogue between contemporary creation, pedagogy and know-how, and extends the issues addressed during the discussion around the place of craft professions in educational and creative pathways.
Event organized by the Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français in collaboration with le Couvent
