Mont Rouge / Vendredi 23 Octobre / Chez Pablo Marseille

In just a few years, Jubesp and Eszco have established Mont Rouge as one of the most notable projects on the new electronic music scene. Their music blends Afro rhythms, deep synths and instant melodies, with the rare ability to make tracks that are as powerful in the club as they are moving to listen to.

After making their name with « Voyage Voyage », their collaboration with Francis Mercier and Coco, the duo went on to achieve rapid success with their reworking of « More Than You Know ». Their productions have amassed millions of listens and earned support from Keinemusik, Adriatique, Diplo, Black Coffee, CamelPhat and Swedish House Mafia.

But their visit to Marseille tells a more personal story.

Jubesp grew up here. Among the songs that marked his childhood is « Belsunce Breakdown », Bouga's classic, which has become inseparable from the city. With KETSHUA and DEE/MA, Mont Rouge paid tribute to it by creating « Belsunce », an Afro house reworking that preserves the soul of the original track and now brings Marseille's sound to dance floors around the world.

Welcoming them to Chez Pablo, just a few steps from Belsunce, gives this evening a special dimension. It's the return to Marseille of a phenomenal duo, at the heart of a city that is already part of their story.

Friday 23 October, Mont Rouge at Chez Pablo.
