MPL: the story of a French chanson group from Grenoble

Founded in 2012 in the Grenoble area, MPL—an acronym for « Ma Pauvre Lucette »—brings together five friends around a sound rooted in French chanson and pop, enriched by electro and rock influences. From the outset, they won 1st Prize at the « Prix Claude Nougaro » Tremplin, their first national recognition, which opened the way to an ambitious live career.

After a self-titled debut album, Ma pauvre Lucette (2015), the group followed up with L'Étoile and LU7 (2020), then Bonhommes (2022), before releasing Bisou magique on February 13, 2026, a 17-track album featuring collaborations with Clou and Ben Mazué. Appearances at La Cigale and the Bataclan, along with a sold-out Olympia, attest to their growing success.
