Introduction

Is digital space the last refuge when public space is restricted? Four artists from the Mediterranean region develop practices online as well as in cities, so we have invited them to perform in the city of Marseille while also occupying our digital spaces.

ROse is an elderly woman who, hobbling along, disrupts the daily routine through absurdity. Over three days, ROse will walk her dog Poster, plant lettuce on the pavement, hang up stuffed animals, and celebrate a birthday.

You might catch sight of ROse coming down from Notre-Dame de la Garde, at Vallon des Auffes, along the Corniche, and on a boat at Château d’IF—or in front of the Alcazar!
