About this event
Screening and discussion of the film Invasion 1897 by Nigerian director Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen (2014), with Anouk Batard, a PhD student in political science (UTOPI, Sciences Po Toulouse), and Rose Frigière, an artist and mediator.
This event is organized in partnership with the Musée d'Arts Africains, Océaniens, Amérindiens - Musées de Marseille, with support from a scientific culture project grant from Aix-Marseille Université. It is part of a screening series offering the opportunity to (re)discover some of these films, both fiction and documentary, and to discuss the various issues they raise with a panel of participants from academia, museums and civil society.
This screening and discussion series on colonial collections held in museums is organized as part of the activities of the Collaborative Research Structure in African Studies (SCREAF, Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès) and the COLL-AB junior laboratory (Labex SMS, Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès), with logistical support from the Africlap association.
