Between the pages of the Club du Livre publications circulates a wealth of texts, images and typographic characters; content from varied origins, some of it drawn from publishing objects dating back centuries. Like the spectral presence of the past in the present, they leave an imprint with transformed or updated features. Even today, this graphic heritage continues to escape, going so far as to haunt the books on our shelves.
By invoking the figure of the ghost in this way, Qui habite l’édition ? offers an opportunity for meetings and exchanges around publications from yesterday and today that testify to an interest in exhuming and displacing existing forms.
Taking place among the shelves of the Histoire de l’œil bookshop, this event invites visitors to explore the interstices of our libraries and discover reminiscences between the lines of the present.
This event extends the publication of the Chroniques Club project.
