This choreographic and musical reinterpretation of Little Red Riding Hood tells the story of a determined child who transforms her anger into strength to assert herself and say no. Dressed all in red, she crosses the forest alone with strength and Rouge is angry at the established order. Her family assigns her household chores and her brothers taunt her. So this time, she disobeys! She will be the one to take the galette to her grandmother. She crosses the forest with strength and knows how to say NO to the wolf. In a sound and physical score, Marina Le Guennec and Émilie Rougier compose an ode to anger. Electro-pop music, joyful and warrior-like dance accompany little Rouge as she explores the forest. From her parents’ home to her grandmother’s, her epic journey will find its way through the unknown. On stage, around a central element, green and red crocheted forms symbolize this little girl’s anger. Throughout the story, they serve as a shell or an attack costume. In this feminist reinterpretation written by Raphaël Frier, little Rouge emancipates herself and regains strength through her angry body, which carries her elsewhere.
