Rouge is angry at the established order. Her family assigns her household chores, and her brothers tease her. So this time, she disobeys! She will be the one to take the cake to her grandmother. She will cross the forest with strength and know how to say NO to the wolf. In a sound and physical composition, Marina Le Guennec and Émilie Rougier create an ode to anger. Electro-pop music, joyful and warrior-like dancing accompany little Rouge as she explores the forest. From her parents’ house to her grandmother’s, her epic journey will find its way through the unknown. On stage, around a central element, green and red crocheted forms symbolize the little girl’s anger. Throughout the story, they serve as a shell or an attack costume. In this feminist reinterpretation written by Raphaël Frier, little Rouge breaks free and regains strength through her body of anger, which carries her elsewhere.
