Stage de chant à danser avec Élio Nardini
DANCE SONG WORKSHOP with Élio Nardini, 19 & 20 December 2026, at Musiques en Fabrique - Association Le Chant du Voisin, 151bd Libération, 13001 Marseille
About this event
Using a traditional repertoire in Occitan and French, we will explore the rhythmic and melodic features of songs for dancing, drawing on the cadence of each dance: ornamentation, repetition, prosody and polyphony.
Held in a welcoming and supportive setting, the workshop program includes vocal technique, rhythmic and vibrational exercises, song-arranging exercises and a few opportunities to dance.
Singers of all levels are welcome: that means the more experienced participants adapt, and the beginners give it their all!
The workshop takes place in the magnificent hall of Musiques en Fabrique, at the Association Le Chant du Voisin, right in the center of Marseille.
Address: 151 bd Libération, 13005 Marseille
Hours: 09h30-18h with a shared lunch.
A performance will take place at the venue on Sunday at 19h, followed by a little voice-led dance!
Attendance on both days of the workshop is recommended.
We look forward to seeing you there!

TEACHING
Élio Nardini lives in Marseille and has been teaching singing for around fifteen years.
A singer and musician, she trained for a year and a half in Occitan traditional music through the Caminaires #1 program, and developed her vocal technique and teaching approach with Emmanuel Pesnot (the “ Passeurs de chant ” program).
She composes, sings and plays the tambourin à cordes in the groups Nenia Ira (pop/post-trad), Dourdou (Occitan trance), and several dance-band projects currently in development.
Organized by: TUTETH
The association’s purpose is to introduce, promote and celebrate uncommon musical instruments, as well as instrumental and vocal music—contemporary, early and popular. Particular attention will be paid to the use of Occitan and regional and minority languages.
It regularly organizes educational workshops, including sessions with Aurélia Nardini focused on Occitan singing.
The association also supports musical projects by groups such as DOURDOU and Nenia Ira.
