Sublime: the return of a cult ska punk and reggae rock band Formed in 1988 in Long Beach, California, Sublime established itself as one of the leading bands of the third wave of American ska with a style combining ska punk, reggae rock, dub and hip-hop elements. The single "What I Got" (1996) reached number one on Billboard Alternative Airplay. The death of singer Bradley Nowell in 1996 abruptly brought the adventure to an end. At the end of 2023, the band underwent a historic reunion with the arrival of Jakob Nowell, Bradley’s son, on vocals and guitar, alongside original members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh. In July 2025, the single "Ensenada" reached number one on Billboard Alternative Airplay, giving the band its first number one since 1996.
