Presented by Garmonbozia, this concert at Le Dodu—a concert and performance venue in the Bouches-du-Rhône—is one of the Berlin collective's European tour dates. Fans of progressive metal and post-rock can already mark the date in their calendars.

The Ocean Collective: an extraordinary artistic journey
Founded in Berlin in 2001 by guitarist Robin Staps, The Ocean—or The Ocean Collective—has established itself as one of the most conceptual acts on the European post-metal scene. The collective has built its reputation on albums with scientific and geological themes, including Precambrian (2007) and the Heliocentric / Anthropocentric diptych, which explores cosmology and philosophy.
The following decade was marked by Phanerozoic I & II: Mesozoic / Cenozoic (2020), which reached No. 9 on the German charts, followed by Holocene (2023). One curiosity: a fossil species, Ophiacantha oceani, was named after the collective—a rare scientific recognition for a metal band. With Solaris (2026), The Ocean begins a new thematic chapter exploring progress and its contradictions.
How to get to Le Dodu in Marseille?
To reach the Le Dodu concert venue by car, access is exclusively via the Simon entrance, at 12 rue François Simon (the Jobin entrance, at 41 rue Jobin, is for pedestrians only). Paid parking is available nearby at "Champ de Mai" (86 spaces), with the first 1h30 free, then 0,40 € per 15-minute period (visitor rate) or 0,12 € per 15-minute period for Marseille residents. Please note: parking may be limited during major events.
RTM public transport is a convenient alternative. Buses 49 and 56 serve the "Belle de Mai La Friche" stop, and night bus 582 is available. Metro lines M1 or M2 to Gare Saint-Charles make it a 15-minute walk to the venue, as does line M1 to Cinq Avenues-Longchamp. Tram T2 stops at Longchamp, about a 10-minute walk away. The venue is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility (elevator, accessible routes, induction loop).
Our recommendation: take RTM public transport, especially tram T2 to the Longchamp stop, just a 10-minute walk from Le Dodu—a simple option that avoids parking hassles.
