About this event

A weekly training session for professional performing artists (theatre, performance, etc.) to keep us working and build community. In a spirit of sharing practices and knowledge, a different person will lead each session.

👣 Don't forget your comfortable work clothes and some water.

Organized by: madma productions

We had our national premiere as part of Festival Actoral 2022, with the French premiere of Nabba ou les chutes, before heading to London to present Camgirl Chronicles in English as part of Voila! Europe Festival 2022. In 2023, we were invited to take part in the first theatre festival in Thessaloniki (Greece) with Camgirl Chronicles in English. Also in 2023, we embarked on the French premiere in France of Camgirl Chronicles at Théâtre du Train Bleu as part of Festival Off d'Avignon 2023. Today, we are preparing a performance of Nabba ou les chutes at Villa Arson in Nice on 05 October.

Our work transforms from one piece to another, as each creation is a world of its own. This is particularly because the pioneering work in research-creation and live arts in Latin America inspires us to move between performing arts disciplines.

Alongside our focus on artistic creation, we have developed another strand of educational experiences. These were conceived and carried out with the community to contribute to a goal or need identified by the community itself.

Here are some examples from our artistic and educational repertoire, representative of our diverse association:

Tarapoto - One-woman show written, directed and performed by Maud Madlyn

All audiences - English and Spanish

A contemporary theatre piece following the protagonist on a shamanic quest to make sense of a contemporary world that seems increasingly hostile.

Nabba ou les chutes - written, directed and performed by Andrés Montes Zuluaga, with artistic collaboration by Maud Madlyn

All audiences - English, Spanish and French

A live art documentary combining bodies, voices, soundscapes from Colombia, photography and video to pay tribute to the 389 victims of the political genocide in Colombia in 2020.

Sea Concert de Tadeusz Kantor by Andrés Montes Zuluaga

All audiences

A re-enactment of Tadeusz Kantor's performance on the beach at Tolú, Colombia.

Training in Spontaneous Theatre, a genre belonging to the Theatre of the Oppressed family

A proposal by Maud and Andrés that received funding from Colombia's Ministry of Culture. The process took place in Buenaventura, Colombia, with a group of 10 people aged between 14 and 70. The training consisted of 3 months of weekly classes led by Maud and Andrés, as well as 3 public performances and 2 workshops led by the group's students.

Papa de cada día

All audiences - Spanish

Creation of an original radio theatre piece with a group of inmates at Villahermosa prison and a group of artists working in dramaturgy, photography and coaching. During this 3-month process in Cali, Colombia, Maud and Andrés led daily workshops in the prison and assembled and directed the team of artists.

The television channel of the Autonomous University of Cali produced a report on this project on the day the piece was recorded inside the prison:
