U.22 X La Glitzer: Cleo, Romanesco, Taka

La Glitzer, the favorite collective of your most stylish friends, is back at the club for a night of thrills and ecstasy; the queer night we all desire, a must for dancing and witnessing breathtaking performances, will take place behind closed doors at our venue.

On the music front, Cleo, matriarch of the BØX collective and a fan of the cuntyest beats in the SoundCloud game, is honoring us with her presence for an extended 2-hour set. A mind-blowing DJ and performer who tours Europe, playing at nights that are as artistically as they are politically committed, it’s now Marseille’s turn to welcome her in style.

Taka, from the Les Filles de la Soeur collective, will lay down the first bricks of Progressive House, Trance & 90’s vocals to set the groove for this passionate night, while our favorite Romanesco is back to roll out cables and Techno & Deep Trance gems for an acid-tinged, psychedelic closing set.

Finally, the performances that electrify the club and take over the dancefloor, stealing the ground from under our feet, will be delivered by Zhayiia, contortionist, poet and dancer with the Métamorphoses Queer collective and the Venus Noire troupe, as well as Atharan, with an enchanting, liberating dance performance.

—————— TAKA A fan of acid house and progressive, Taka puts together groovy sets that channel the 90’s legacy, reinvented through acid synths, raw percussion and trancy pads. Disco is never far away, either. Co-Mama of the Marseille-Grenoble collective Les Filles de la Sœur, she performs in clubs, on the radio and in other spaces, in search of the right vibration

CLEO A multidisciplinary artist, CLEO moves at the intersection of sound and movement, drawing on their training in classical and contemporary dance as well as their roots in queer nightlife. Also a founder of the BØX collective, dedicated to showcasing queer and BIPOC voices, they explore identity and the challenging of social norms through a quest for self-expression that is at once academic, visceral and embodied.

ROMANESCO Co-founder of Basses fréquences and an experienced event organizer, Romanesco is now behind the decks as a Glitzer resident. His selections move between techno, deep and trancy sounds in an acidic, oily aesthetic, with psychedelic flashes.

PERFORMANCES :

ZHAYIIA A creature whose passion is bending over backwards without bending to social norms. By turns mystical and sensual, Zhayiia is fiercely gentle. Dislocating her body, she draws you into a world where contortion, dance, poetry and cabaret come together.

ATHARAN Through performance and immersive setups, they explore sensuality in its political and spiritual dimensions. The body becomes a medium for questioning and reconnecting with the living. With an organic, enchanting choreographic language, ATHARAN summons the senses, blurs the boundaries between stage and audience, and invites people into immersive experiences that awaken both perception and consciousness, the visible and the invisible. Their creations explore powerful contemporary themes: environmental impact, multiple identities, desires, primal instincts and a profound connection to being. Each project is conceived as a ritual, a sensory and introspective journey in which each human being is invited to feel again.
