Tangible 2026 - Une après-midi à la Cômerie

Children and adults alike are invited to explore, imagine and create in the heart of the Cômerie garden.

4pm — À l’eau!
Two drop-in workshops exploring the sea and its resources. An opportunity to present the activities carried out in schools ahead of the festival by Fotokino in collaboration with the Yakafokon collective and the duo Julie Savigneux and Pierre Allain. Reading area and refreshments from 4:30pm.

5:30pm — Kite launch, Portés par le vent
The designers Julie Savigneux and Pierre Allain held a series of workshops the previous day to create monumental kites… Now it is time for them to take flight!

Portés par le vent is the result of a social and artistic research project that gives a voice to four local youth and leisure stakeholders. Julie and Pierre hold a series of meetings and collect stories, messages and demands on the subject of “equal access to play.” The artistic approach of the two designers and the workshop content are subsequently structured around this social inquiry.

The aim is to develop a universal language of shapes and colors, a picture vocabulary used to create monumental flags. Between a message in a bottle, rallying behind a flag and a protest placard, this lexicon can be imagined as being made up of symbols of equality and plurality—a boat, a cabin, a compass…

While these huge, slender flags invite the air to caress them, only a kite can carry their message on the wind. To do so, one of the flags will dress Le Roi des Airs! Initially designed for adults for sporting and scientific purposes, this kite, invented in 1912, quickly attracted children’s attention and marked a turning point in the toy industry: is it the child imitating the adult, or the adult who never stops being a child?
