Va jouer dehors - festival de la ville 2026 : possibles

This year, the Festival de la Ville celebrates its 5th anniversary. Five years of showing that a different kind of urban development is possible: wilder, more everyday, shaped by encounters, uses and freedom. POSSIBLES! is at once an anniversary, a review and a starting point.

For five years, Va jouer dehors ! has explored, experimented, fostered encounters and highlighted those who, everywhere, are working to transform their city. On November 19, 2026, Va jouer dehors ! will celebrate the 5th edition of the Festival de la Ville at Montévidéo, rue d’Aubagne, in Marseille, where the association was founded in 2019.

This edition will be unique. It will bring together everyone who, over the past five years, has supported us, challenged us, shaken us up and helped us imagine another way of shaping the city — architects, urban planners, students, researchers, artists, writers, poets, filmmakers…, partners, private and public companies, endowment funds, foundations… and the team.

A wild city rather than a domesticated one. An everyday city rather than a spectacular one. A city that rejects standardization in order to rediscover complexity, beauty, encounters and use.

Possibles will be an anniversary, a review and a starting point all at once. This moment must make room for the unexpected and for surprise, because that is what the city needs.

Everyone is invited to bring something: an object, a text, an image, a video, a sound, a model, a material, a construction-site trace, a prototype, an archive, a performance, a reading, music, a conversation, or something that doesn’t fit into any of these categories. Something that tells, in its own way, of a possible city.
