A prizewinner at the Geneva International Competitions and the Guilde Française des Artistes solistes, he was a soloist with the Orchestre National de France for twelve years. Thanks to his extensive discography (Grand Prix from the Académie Charles Cros), concerts in Europe, the United States and the Far East, and his piccolo collection published by Billaudot, he has since become one of the world’s foremost piccolo performers. His keen interest in the piccolo and wooden instruments dates back to his youth, when his family bought him a magnificent antique ebony piccolo, “Bonneville”. For several years, he has been working in depth to raise awareness of the piccolo and share his joy in playing it. First a piccolo player with the Concerts Colonne and then, for twelve years, principal piccolo with the Orchestre National de France, he has performed under distinguished conductors including Sergiù Celibidache, Karl Böhm, Leonard Bernstein, Lorin Maazel, Seiji Ozawa, Wolfgang Sawalich and Pierre Boulez… He has also worked with other orchestras around the world, including Seiji Ozawa’s “Saïto Kinen orchestra”. His extensive discography: Calliope-Harmonia-Mundi, Classic-Talents, Lyrinx, Rodolphe, Skarbo, Nouveaux horizons, Saphir, Naîve, Indésens… Together with an International Grand Prix du disque from the Académie Charles Cros for the CD “La belle époque du piccolo” and his educational collection published by Billaudot, this work has earned him the recognition and friendship of flautists who invite him around the world to major flute conventions and festivals (Japan, USA, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Brazil, Costa Rica, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Venezuela…). He also performs at numerous concerts in France (Paris, Salle Cortot, Radio France) and around the world (Israel, Ireland, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Senegal, Croatia, USA (Carnegie Hall, New York), Austria, Slovenia, Spain, the Netherlands, Finland, Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, China…).
