Anar Von Amour was born at Boardwalk Factory under the watchful eye of Coney Bow. After earning a degree in art history, a university diploma in art therapy, and training in dance and yoga, I discovered burlesque. This art presented itself to me as an obvious choice; both therapeutic and creative, it allows everyone to reveal themselves, to themselves and to the eyes of the world.

Through simplified access to the stage, the burlesque artist has the opportunity to bare themselves, physically and symbolically. In this way, the practice takes on a cathartic dimension, enabling everyone to assert themselves and build self-confidence.

Through individual or team work and interaction with others (the audience), burlesque artists have the opportunity to take up space and express what they carry within themselves, while respecting the diversity of bodies, genders, social backgrounds, sexualities, origins and skin colors of each person.
