Yokaï

Emerging during the Edo period (the year 1600), traditional Japanese magic places emphasis on form. Magic must be “beautiful”. The word Tezuma also means “to beautify with the hands”. Today, this form of magic is becoming increasingly rare. The show Yokaï skilfully combines traditional magic, storytelling and theatre, all set in a Japanese atmosphere sure to delight young and old alike!
