Yokai
A Tezuma show—the traditional Japanese art of magic—for children ages 4 to 10.
About this event
Let yourself be swept away by Tezuma, the traditional Japanese art of magic.
Emerging during the Edo period (the year 1600), traditional Japanese magic emphasizes form. Magic must be “beautiful.” The word Tezuma itself means “to embellish with the hands.” Today, this form of magic is becoming increasingly rare.
The show “Yokaï” skillfully blends traditional magic, storytelling and theater, all with a Japanese atmosphere that will delight young and old alike!
