Release Party MSG RECORDS "Interlude Foe Kobe" @Yuzu
𝗬𝗨𝗭𝗨 𝗫 𝗠𝗦𝗚 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗦 — 𝗜𝗦𝗔𝗔𝗖 𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗢 Exhibition & Release Party · INTERLUDES [FOE KOBE]
About this event
On Friday, October 30, Yuzu welcomes @msg_records for an evening combining art and music to celebrate the release of INTERLUDES [FOE KOBE], a limited-edition vinyl tribute to Kobe Bryant, illustrated by Californian painter Isaac Pelayo.
Born in 1996, Isaac Pelayo has developed an artistic world at the crossroads of classical painting and street art, combining oil painting techniques with spray painting. His career has included collaborations with Shepard Fairey (OBEY) and Westside Gunn.
For the occasion, a selection of the artist’s prints will temporarily cover the walls of Yuzu from October 28 to 31. This curatorial presentation by MSG Records offers a chance to discover the work and artistic world of an artist who brings classical heritage into dialogue with urban culture.
On the music front, INTERLUDES [FOE KOBE] brings together six independent beatmakers, including Camoflauge Monk and Ahwlee, alongside Velvetian Sky, Kazzey, Solaar and Mista Hope.
On the night of the release party, @rz_rod , founder of MSG Records, @solaar_music and @pablo_guelle will provide the music, with a vinyl selection spanning urban and electronic sounds, without genre boundaries.
As an added bonus, there will be a display of exclusive basketball jerseys, in collaboration with @vincult2019, a local authority on iconic vintage sports jerseys.
Art, music and basketball culture: join us at Yuzu to celebrate MSG Records’ tenth anniversary.
