Following in the wake of his previous creations, Christian Rizzo opens the stage to the forces of abstraction, sublimates the everyday and dances a fiction that slips away before our eyes. To the spellbinding sound of an organ, scenes gracefully evoke the course of life and the passing of time. The dancers unite as a single body, only to break away into rosettes, swirls, elevations and imbalances. We become attached to the looks they exchange, protective and delicate, to the hands that hold on to one another or rest tenderly on a shoulder. Their group forms, divides and recomposes itself, filling the void with presences and ghosts. Yet in this atmosphere of mutual attentiveness, something like regret hovers—the diffuse feeling of a lost paradise... A dance of the infinitesimal and the essential, where every movement seems to hold on to something as time slips away.
