À l'ombre d'un vaste détail, hors tempête.

A house, a ceremony, a mourning. Projected words. Milky light, a white floor... Following in the wake of his previous creations, Christian Rizzo opens the stage to the forces of abstraction, elevates the everyday, and dances a fiction that slips away before our eyes.

To the spellbinding sound of an organ, tableaux gracefully evoke the course of life and the passage of time. The dancers unite as a single body, then escape into rosettes, swirls, elevations, and imbalances. We become attached to the looks they exchange—protective and delicate—and to the hands that hold on to one another or rest tenderly on a shoulder. Their group forms, divides, and reassembles, populating the void with presences and ghosts. Yet in this atmosphere of mutual attentiveness, something like regret hovers: the diffuse feeling of a lost paradise...

A dance of the infinitesimal and the essential, in which every movement seems to hold back something from the time slipping away.
