The Château Borély - Museum of Decorative Arts, Faience and Fashion invites you to discover its new exhibition from May 8, 2026, to April 26, 2027. From September 9, five new textile works will replace five other pieces. These works, which are particularly sensitive to light, will be returned to storage or to their institution of origin for conservation purposes. Discover “a Chanel evening dress, two dresses and a coat from the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation, and a Mad Marseille dress.” For the first time, the Château Borély is devoting an exhibition to a major period in Marseille’s decorative and industrial arts. Nearly 180 works, on loan from prestigious institutions such as the Musée d’Orsay, the Mobilier National, the Musée des Beaux-Arts, and the Musée des Textiles de Lyon, as well as from rarely exhibited Marseille collections, fill the first floor and reveal a little-known heritage.
