From 9 September, five new textile works will replace five other pieces. These, which are particularly sensitive to light, will be returned to storage or to their original institution for conservation purposes. Château Borély is devoting an exhibition for the first time to a major period in Marseille’s decorative and industrial arts.

Nearly 180 works, on loan from prestigious institutions such as the Musée d’Orsay, the Mobilier National, the Musée des Beaux-Arts and the Lyon Textile Museum, as well as from rarely displayed Marseille collections, occupy the first floor and reveal a little-known heritage.

Exceptional closures: 8 September 2026 and 12 January 2027 for the rotation of fragile works.
