Contemporary dance workshops using a biomechanical approach With Francisca Crisóstomo López By SOMME Collective, a creative and research platform focused on contemporary bodies and choreographic practices. Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. MMA Estaque On Tuesday mornings, I offer a contemporary dance practice inspired by tools from movement analysis, anatomical study and the writing of gesture. We will study the mechanics of walking through to danced momentum, the phenomenon of motor masses as drivers of movement, the mobility of the spine, pelvis and shoulder girdle, as well as the relationship between our bodies and physical forces. Musicality, rhythm, pleasure, body awareness, play, improvisation and a somatic approach will all be part of the session. Professionals and movement enthusiasts are welcome.
