On Tuesday mornings, I offer a contemporary dance practice inspired by movement analysis tools, the study of anatomy and the writing of movement. We will study the mechanics of walking through to the dancing impulse, the phenomenon of driving masses as movement generators, the mobility of the spine, pelvis and shoulder girdle, as well as the relationship between our bodies and physical forces. Musicality, rhythm, pleasure, body awareness, play, improvisation and a somatic approach will all be part of the experience.
Professionals and movement enthusiasts are welcome.
