Between mystical ritual, poetry and pop performance, this 1-hour-15-minute show is presented on Thursday, September 24 at 9 p.m. and Friday, September 25 at 7 p.m. Danseprophétiqueàl'îlebizarre takes over Théâtre des Bernardines for two extraordinary evenings It is within Théâtre des Bernardines, located at 17 boulevard Garibaldi in Marseille’s 1st arrondissement, that Geneviève Matthieu evokes an imaginary and unsettling island. At the heart of a white forest, the artist undergoes metamorphoses driven by the cries and hoots of the night. Combining poetry, physical training, music and song, she unfolds a world in which reference points waver and the living, memories and invisible presences coexist in a single breath. This dance show in Marseille is part of the Actoral Festival program, one of the essential events on the contemporary scene in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur. Between ritual and performance, an inner journey at the edge of the visible Danseprophétiqueàl'îlebizarre does not simply tell a story: it brings things into being. Signs appear, coincidences multiply and fragments of destiny take shape before the audience’s eyes.
