PRESENTATION OF 'THE SCHOOL' The Corps parlants company is offering 2 professional training modules during the 2026-2027 season + 1 ten-day laboratory: together, these form the concept of the 'school.' The two professional modules and the laboratory combined will offer a solid and rich approach to contact improvisation practice through to the concept of In Situ relational performance. The laboratory will involve active participation in this research-creation. PRESENTATION OF THE SCHOOL This 'school' offers artists, performers, dancers, circus artists, actors, and professionals working in care, education or cultural mediation (as well as anyone engaged in an approach seeking to connect the artistic field with a more activist field) the opportunity to explore somactivist practices and a field of research stemming from the creation « Caring Banquise » — with which the trainers collaborated. (Anne-Gaëlle Thiriot and Mathilde Monfreux on module #1, and Jérèmy Damian, Mathilde Monfreux and Virginie Thomas on module #2). By somactivism, we mean a set of relationships with the world that explores the porosities and polarities between activism and care (an activism of tenderness... Creative and empowering care). They will share a set of artistic processes combining somatic practices, improvisation and situated creation. These practices view the body not only as a tool of expression, but as a place of research, perception, experimentation and transformation. AUDIENCE • If you are not familiar with the work of Les Corps Parlants: you must participate in both weeks of training to access the laboratory. You can then register via this hello asso link. • If you have already completed a professional module with Les Corps Parlants in 2025 or 2026, you are welcome to attend only 1 of the 2 training modules.
