Held each year at a different venue, La Grande Scène is a major event for discovering today’s emerging choreographic voices. Presented by the Petites Scènes Ouvertes network, it brings artists, professionals and audiences together around emerging creations. This season, LE ZEF is delighted to host two evenings open to the public as well as professional meetings, providing a special space for discovery, exchange and sharing. Construction and Revolt of a Body of Shame - Alexandre Goyer 20-minute excerpt This trio is an analytical and poetic journey through the process of internalizing shame, its development within the self and the imprint it leaves there, the way it shapes gestures, the spaces it prevents us from occupying, and the way it restricts freedom of movement, both physical and social. Shame becomes the fertile ground for the revolt of bodies; the performers imagine other intimate and collective constructions and write new stories of healing and transformation. Quatre trois ◇ : △ - Andrège Bidiamambu & Seren Kano 19-minute excerpt For this first jointly created piece, Andrège Bidiamambu and Seren Kano decide to create a new choreographic language based on the fundamentals of Locking: groove, technique, rhythms... They invite spectators to share one of their many conversations. T'façon on est en 2012 - Laurène Dambermont 12-minute excerpt Inspired by the contemporary era of online clashes, Loraine Dambermont appropriates this virilist and overexposed phenomenon to extract raw, incisive choreographic material from it. She scrambles the codes of combat and brings power to the surface where it is least expected. Between humor, directness and catharsis, dance becomes a direct language capable of making materials, bodies and imaginaries interact in the same movement of crashing and grace. The bodies provoke and confront one another in an explosive energy, highly synchronized with the soundtrack, which strikingly reinforces the surreal character of the performance. After a first solo chapter, Toujours de 3/4 face!, this second part of the Mes années bagarre trilogy continues to question the issues surrounding the trivialization of violence, particularly on social media, through a popular grounding in the contemporary choreographic landscape.
