The “cialoma,” work songs that set the fishermen’s rhythm, take on a new life in Mattanza_25 through a contemporary creation centered on three areas of focus: sound composition, movement and space. Vague_avenir Mattanza_25 is a sound performance for five musicians and one dancer. It is a journey through memory, representing a thousand-year-old culture condemned to oblivion: “tuna fishing” as it was practiced in Sicily and the Mediterranean.
