Duo Vrod - Isnart : héritage et covoiturage

This show is part of the World Music Hub of the Cité de la Musique de Marseille. To tell the story of music is like saying nothing—it remains music. Or how two paths, that of Jean-François Vrod— a child of folk music, passionate about traditional violin and all the materials that the world of oral tradition puts under his fingers—and that of Cyril Isnart—a seasoned researcher seeking people with whom to develop ideas—cross and mingle in a moment of light and incisive joy. For, as they themselves put it: “The interplay of social statuses and viewpoints on cultural facts is overturned, resulting in a fairer version and vision of what drives us to continue making music, telling stories or investing ourselves in rituals.” With the joy of letting ourselves be surprised, we might all join them in the parallel universe they are fruitfully imagining.
