Un moment suspendu (la Criée)

A play written for La Criée’s Young Company, with Marseille as its anchor point and human connection as its horizon! Reine is a young woman with a mysterious past who has decided to establish an unfamiliar activity in Marseille: korfball. Invented by a Dutch schoolteacher at the beginning of the 20th century, this team sport is mixed-gender and has the particularity of having everyone play both offense and defense. With a community-center room as its main setting, A Suspended Moment makes us laugh, travel, and think. A monologue expressing each person’s isolation is followed by a choral composition. It is truly a troupe that comes into being before our eyes.
