The Cinq-Avenues Library offers events for everyone. The libraries of Marseille are open to everyone. The Cinq-Avenues Library offers: ► ALL AUDIENCES WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7 AT 6 PM Quartier Livre Festival – Meeting with Marie-Aude Murail We are delighted to welcome Marie-Aude Murail to the Cinq-Avenues Library. Registration required. In collaboration with Librairie Nozika and the Libraires du Sud association. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9 AT 6:30 PM Meeting with Sophie Boutière-Damahi We are delighted to welcome Sophie Boutière-Damahi, author of La part des vivants, published by Le Bruit du monde, to the Cinq-Avenues Library. Registration required. Hosted by the librarians. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 AT 9 AM Quartier Livre Festival – 3rd edition Espace musical Hypérion – 3rd edition of the Quartier Livre Festival, born from the desire to celebrate literature in all its forms. On the program: brass band, meetings, comic-book battle, shared banquet, illustration workshop, literary siesta, show for all audiences and readings... In collaboration with the town halls of the 4th/5th arrondissements and COBIAC. WORKSHOPS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22 AT 10 AM Zen garden workshop Create a small Zen garden. Registration required. Led by Nathalie Jordan. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29 AT 2 PM Embroidery workshop An embroidery workshop for beginners and experienced enthusiasts. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 AT 10 AM / SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17 AT 9:15 AM Musical awakening – Discovering music workshop A workshop introducing music for toddlers. Songs, nursery rhymes, and discovering and handling instruments. Come tap, strum, sing and dance with us! Ages 0 to 3. Registration required. Led by À petits sons. TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20 AT 10 AM Biblio'musée: the ideal museum Museum of Fine Arts – An invitation to discover the museum in a different way. The librarians of Cinq-Avenues invite you to a reading session in the galleries of the Museum of Fine Arts, followed by a pop-up workshop to create an “ideal museum.” Ages 6 to 10. Registration required. In collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23 AT 4 PM Role-playing game Tabletop role-playing is a cooperative game that draws on your imagination and invites you to explore a world where heroes overcome trials, face enemies, uncover forgotten secrets and much more. Ages 10 and up. Registration required. Led by Les parchemins de Tychée - Najet Berber. TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27 AT 9:30 AM Science workshop: volcanoes Through games and scientific experiments, set off to discover science. You can uncover the many mysteries surrounding us on Earth and in nature. Ages 10 and up. Registration required. Led by Les petits débrouillards. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 AT 10 AM Philosophy workshop: my body belongs to me My body belongs to me! The philosophy workshop is a time to reflect with other children on what we experience. Ages 6 to 12. Registration required. Led by Virginie Larteau, Bibliothé nomade. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 AT 3 PM Mini Lecture Avenue The new book club at the Cinq-Avenues Library, especially for children and teens aged 8 to 12! Come share your favorite books and discover the latest releases with the librarians and other book lovers like you. All genres welcome: comics, manga, novels, nonfiction... Come as you read. Ages 8 to 12. Registration required. Led by the librarians.
