Bakélite Duo

Bakélite Duo offers a repertoire inspired by the great musicians and singers of the swing era in jazz. Billie Holiday, Louis Prima, Frank Sinatra, and Harry Belafonte share the same stage, celebrating the American repertoire from the 1920s to the 1950s — old-time blues, bounding swing, and a few retro gems.

The duo is led by Karim Tobbi, a Marseille singer-guitarist specializing in North American music from the interwar years through the 1950s, accompanied on upright bass by Patrick Ferné. A light, elegant format and a warm, nostalgic atmosphere: swing just the way we like it, on the Vieux-Port. Karim Tobbi (vocals, guitar) · Patrick Ferné (upright bass)
