BOUM POP CRÉOLE! Featuring a DJ set and live concert by @AMAROUKA
About this event
- Free entry Saturday 24 October A night to indulge and celebrate, again and again, the best of our lives and our love of pop (and much more) in the mix—that’s BOUM POP! Don’t expect anything predictable: BOUM POP wants to take us even further, to the irreverent crossroads of genres and intoxicating modulations, like bridges spanning boundaries we could well do without, from one musical territory to another.
This week’s program…: Creole electro-pop!
Swept up in a whirlwind of sounds in our living rooms, we’ll dance, flirt with one another, and smile like friends at home!
23H-1H45 @Amarouka
CARIBBEAN CREOLE POP < <
From the Guadeloupean Indian community, Amarouka is part of the Creole Pop movement, at the crossroads of Caribbean and Indian Ocean rhythms. Behind the festive energy, his music speaks out about social injustices and the realities of the French Antilles, with solidarity, self-love, and reconnection with the living world as recurring themes.
On stage, he sings and performs a 100% Creole DJ Live set, taking a stand against colonial legacies and spanning the diasporas of Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Réunion, and Mauritius. This musical journey brings Creole cultures, memories, and identities into dialogue while celebrating their strength and ability to reinvent themselves.
REMINDER: From 21h to 23h, the OM-OL match (women’s teams!) will be broadcast live on the big screen on the terrace and inside BOUM!
