CAMiNOS en concert à la Cité de la Musique

About this event

CAMiNOS BACK ON STAGE After its Paris performance at the Triton last June, the Marseille-based quartet CAMiNOS will give another concert at the Cité de la Musique in Marseille on Friday, November 27, 2026! “During its residency, CAMiNOS is working to transform four individuals into a shared landscape. Around Germain Chaperon’s compositions, guitar, bass and drums seek their spaces, while the voice and percussion of Neda Cainero move between Italian, Occitan and Spanish. Arrangements, improvisations and explorations of tone allow the quartet to test the balance between electric power and acoustic texture, pulse and freedom. A stage in the process so that these Mediterranean paths stop merely crossing and truly begin to travel together.” Line-up: Germain CHAPERON (Guitar, compositions, vocals, lyrics, arrangements)Neda CAINERO (Vocals, lyrics)Marek EICHLER (Bass)Sven CLERX (Drums)Analucia CONCA (Dance) CAMiNOS: these paths that we follow, cross and create... This idea of a journey, of moving forward, both in life and in music, is at the heart of the project. Built around Germain Chaperon’s original compositions, CAMiNOS highlights the worlds that each musician has gathered along their journey for this meeting at the crossroads—of paths, of the encounters that can be made there, and of the way we build ourselves through them. A bridge between cultures naturally emerges, revealing that through all these paths of life, these stages and accidents that make us who we are at a given moment, a profound humanity unites us. It is this meeting and connection that the project celebrates, for a musical journey beyond borders, whether physical or cultural. Based in Marseille, CAMiNOS offers a resolutely Mediterranean repertoire, with songs in Occitan, Spanish and Italian punctuating a traveling musical universe that evokes the cultures that inspire us: the Indies, Eastern Europe, North Africa, and of course Spanish Flamenco and its South American resonances, in writing that may draw on jazz and contemporary music.
