Sketches, objects and vivid colors bring a teeming picture book to life, a delicate window open onto the world. The dwarfs carry a door, a lamp, a crane and a giant duck. They carry a beam, an otter, a ray of sunshine, a letter and many other things. Each of their words is paired with a drawing. A pencil line, sketched or scribbled, that illustrates and makes us laugh. And if the dwarfs take on all these burdens, it is not for nothing... This gentle show was imagined by puppeteers Maud Hufnagel and Virginie Gaillard. On stage, they both move around in the middle of a forest made of cardboard boxes. Moving boxes, storage boxes. So many chests ready to hold their secrets. Little by little, these boxes become a castle, a house, an architecture made of paper. And without ever stopping, a thousand hidden objects appear, revealing a marvelous world to very young children.
