Dordogne

Instrumental math rock

After spending the group’s first few years experimenting with math and prog rock, Dordogne found its sound more fully in a repertoire that invites people to dance, openly embracing the influence of the traditional music that brought its musicians together. Dordogne describes its music as resonant and unpredictable, prompting listeners to move back and forth between their heads and their legs.

Through electric sound textures, disorienting bass lines and distinctive melodies, its world is complex and demanding yet accessible. Four years after the group’s first album, La Dronne, Dordogne is releasing its new album, entitled “La Duche,” on the Pince-Oreilles label.
