Journées nationales de l'architecture : réhabiliter : bâtir l'avenir

The 11th edition of the National Architecture Days will take place on Thursday 15, Friday 16, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, highlighting the theme “Rehabilitating: Building the Future.” Initiated by the Ministry of Culture in 2016, the National Architecture Days will take place throughout France. These days aim to help the general public (re)discover architecture and its professions, whether through major emblematic projects or everyday buildings, via a rich program of more than 1,200 activities: urban walks, debates, film screenings, exhibitions, construction-site visits, open houses... Thursday and Friday are dedicated to school audiences as part of the “Raise Your Eyes!” initiative. They help all audiences discover architecture and its professions and aim to reveal the presence of architecture throughout the country: major projects and everyday buildings. Architecture is at the crossroads of today's major challenges: - ecological and climate challenges through its heritage and urban dimensions; - economic challenges because it drives activity and employment and contributes to the appeal of local areas; - social challenges through the connections it creates in our cities, metropolitan areas and rural spaces; - scientific and innovation challenges, through the ingenuity of architects mobilized for users' well-being.
