Julien Beaudiment & Célia Oneto Bensaid

A former student of Sophie Cherrier, Julien Beaudiment was principal flute of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra before taking the same position with the Lyon Orchestra. A distinguished representative of the great French flute school, he now follows in the footsteps of Jean-Pierre Rampal.

A pianist who is “committed, with golden fingers” (Télérama), Célia Oneto Bensaid enjoys wandering off the beaten track. She joined Julien Beaudiment in his project of transcribing Maurice Ravel's finest symphonic pages for flute and piano. Daphnis et Chloé and Alborada del gracioso receive a remarkable makeover in this fresh dialogue.
