KantatriX

KantatriX, or the soul of jazz. The duo formed by Nicolas Cante (vocals, piano) and Patrick Ferné (double bass) centers on a repertoire of standards influenced by the greats—Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong and Nina Simone. Voice and double bass converse with understated elegance, carrying on the fine tradition of the piano-and-double-bass duo, as Duke Ellington and Jimmy Blanton once did. An intimate, refined evening where each standard recaptures its original emotion: the perfect gathering for lovers of vocal jazz, over a drink by the Old Port.
