Composed in 1999, this work was initially dedicated to the victims of the Kosovo crisis. It expresses the rise of fear, the development of a conflict and the emergence of hope for the future. It is an ode to peace. The work achieves universality through its selection of texts from different eras, countries and religions, structured around the traditional elements of the Ordinary of the Latin Mass. A prayerful, moving meditation on the wars that have torn our past apart.
