Organization: YES WE CAMP

We are an open, constantly evolving collective bringing together architects, plumbers, urban planners, carpenters, engineers, administrators, artists, gardeners, DIY enthusiasts, event technicians, graphic designers…

Our projects always seek to bring together these different themes:

• Experimental construction: experimenting with new architectural forms, building materials (repurposing everyday objects, using scaffolding, reclaimed materials) and more participatory construction methods involving amateurs and professionals.

• Urban ecology: situating projects within an urban ecological approach: preserving pockets of nature in the city and making neglected spaces collectively accessible. Developing low-tech / low-cost ecological sanitation systems: greywater treatment, solar water heaters, composting toilets, permaculture without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, innovative watering methods, biodiversity through pollination, urban gardening...

• Integration / Learning: involving young people in integration programs on construction sites + organizing educational workshops on urban ecology techniques, furniture-making... - The arts and celebration. Making room for artistic expression and shared moments! Yes We Camp is also about conviviality and celebration, intentionally bringing together spaces and disciplines: music, sports, records, visual arts, installations...

• Local involvement: we like to think of ourselves as a platform for freedom, open to others. For every project, we invite residents, neighbors, artists and local associations to take part, in the hope that they will make these temporary spaces we activate their own.
