About this event
In dialogue with L’Écologie des relations - La Forêt amante de la mer, this Bibliothèque éphémère, which can be accessed and consulted at the Frac Sud research documentation center throughout the exhibition, extends the contexts, questions and artistic practices explored in the exhibition.
Elodie Royer, curator of the exhibition L’Écologie des relations - La Forêt amante de la mer, brings several disciplines, forms of writing and modes of address into dialogue, organized around several themes:
-
the triple disaster of March 11, 2011 in Japan and its consequences, explored through works created since 2011 by collectives (Fukushima et ses invisibles ; Don’t Follow The Wind), researchers in anthropology (Houdart), film (Domenach) and literature (Ferrier);
-
relationships with places and with our environments, battered or damaged by modernity, examined by philosophers (Guattari, Stengers), a geographer (Berque), a gardener (Clément), an oyster farmer (Hatakeyama) and an architect (Kuma);
-
the work of Japanese women artists and poets (Shiga, Yamashiro, Ono or Shōnagon).
