It draws on the protest traditions of Latin American song-poetry, while weaving sensitive connections with Europe and the East. Keyboards and electronic arrangements engage in dialogue with the sounds of the oud, creating a hybrid musical language that is both organic and dreamlike. This project is also a migrant song that honors roots and the paths of exile. La Violeta speaks of the condition of being a foreigner, uprooting, but also of the beauty and strength born from these fractures. Its voice is fragile and fierce at once, because the woman singing is many women. This sonic hybridization is a metaphor for the contemporary world: a world in motion, shaped by multiple influences, exiles and metamorphoses.
