LabTryo "Coté Sud"

Three jazz musicians from the South, brought together by a shared passion: paying tribute to the composers who have shaped jazz history. LabTryo’s repertoire draws on the works of Pat Metheny and Wayne Shorter—with sweeping melodies, rich harmonies and lyrical guitar synthesizer—to bring this timeless music to life with finesse and feeling. At the heart of the trio are two respected figures on the Marseille scene: Claude Vesco (guitar, guitar synthesizer), a purist guitarist and medalist from Guy Longnon’s class, co-founder of Cri du Port and a renowned jazz photographer; and Christophe Cuzzucoli (six-string bass), a musician who studied at the Marseille Conservatory and has opened for Roy Haynes, James Carter and Dianne Reeves. Young Portuguese drummer Paulo Monteiro completes this trio, focused on attentive listening and refinement.
